BAPTISM
If you've accepted Jesus as your Savior, the next step is to go public. This is done through the sacrament of baptism.
We have a baptism class for all who are interested that further explains baptism but here are some important things to know:
>Baptism is an outward sign of what's taken place in the heart and life of the one being baptized. see below
>We prefer to baptize by immersion as it best follows the biblical example, however we will provide an alternative if one is not physically able to be baptized via immersion.
>At Kingston Wesleyan, we prefer to wait until our children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. Therefore, we do not practice infant baptism - but instead offer Infant/Child Dedication. This ceremony is intended to be a covenant between the parents and God on the behalf of the child.
